Account authentication for French players

We have changed our account validation process to be in line with French regulation.

Why do I need to validate my account?

All players need to complete account verification by sending us documents.

This process helps to protect players and create a safe gaming environment by making sure that:

  • Vulnerable players, such as minors, don't have access to our services.
  • Each player has an account.
  • We reduce the risk of fraud and duplicate accounts.
  • A real person with an active mobile phone and email address created the account.
  • We have a way to contact our players if we need to.

It's a process that is valuable if you win a real money prize in a freeroll tournament.

How do I validate my account?

The good news is that the new process is easy to complete. Just follow these steps:

Step 1: Complete the Real Money form

Fill in all the fields on the Real Money form.

Tips for successful validation first time round:

  • All fields have a maximum of 85 characters, except for the street name (maximum of 150 characters).
  • House numbers and zip or postal code limited to max. 20 characters.
  • House number cannot be 0, 00, 000...
  • Before going to the next step, make sure the information is correct to avoid issues.
  • The details on the Real Money form need to match the ones shown on your identification documents.
Step 2: Verify your identity with documents

After completing the Real Money form, select ‘Send Documents Now’ and you'll get a new pop-up window allowing you to upload your documents.

2.1 Upload document identification

2.1.1 Select the type of identification document you want to upload.

2.1.2 Choose whether you want to take a photo or upload the document from your device.

Make sure that:

  • Your ID is valid and not expired.
  • All the details are clear and legible.
  • The 4 corners of the document are visible.
  • Your full ID is in shot. Don't leave out or cover any of your information.
  • You place the document on a plain background like a white piece of paper.
  • The lighting is good. To prevent any glare, don't use your device’s flash.

One of these documents is acceptable as proof of identity (ID):

  • Passport
  • Driver's license
  • National ID card (front and back)

If you can't send anything above, these documents are also acceptable:

  • Armed Forces ID card.

IMPORTANT: Faces in the images are blurry for data protection reasons. These images are just examples. Make sure we can clearly see your face on your copies.

2.2 Upload proof of address

You will also need to send us proof of your home address, showing your full name, complete mailing address and the issue date.

You can send us one of these:

  • Utility bill such as a gas, water, electricity, landline, internet or TV bill.
  • Insurance documents no older than three months.
  • Government letter
  • Tax notice for the preceding year.

Make sure that:

  • All the details are clear and legible.
  • The four corners of the document are visible.
  • Your current address is visible and matches the one you registered in the Real Money form.
  • The document is no older than 3 months.

To upload your documents via our software, click here but log in to your account first. If you see the ‘Error404’ on your screen, please ignore it and log in.

As another option:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to your 'User ID'.
  3. Expand the ‘Stars Account Details' section.
  4. Select ‘Verify My Account'.
  5. Attach the documents and ‘Send’.
What happens if I don't send the documents?

30 days after you complete the Real Money form:

  • Your account will automatically be suspended.

After 30 days from the account suspension:

  • Your account will automatically be closed.

To avoid this or any delays, we recommend you validate your account as soon as you can.

What happens if I change my personal details after completing the validation process?

If you change your name:

  • Send us a copy of your new identification document.

If you change your mailing address:

  • Send us a new proof of address document.

Important:

  • You have 42 business days to send your document.
  • If you don't send the document during this period, the system will automatically close your account.
I just want to play Play Money games. Do I have to go through the entire verification process?

No.

The verification process is only needed from the moment you fill out the Real Money form.

Can I play if I don't provide documents?

Yes.

You can place sports bets and play at the tables signaled ‘reserved for .FR players only' for tournaments or ‘réservé aux joueurs .FR’ for cash games. The tables are:

  • Cash Games Fusion: This exciting new game type is a combination of our two most popular games. The hand starts as Hold’em (two-hole cards) and ends as Omaha (four-hole cards). We offer you all the stakes - from €0.01/€0.02 to €5/€10 - while you are not fully authenticated. You can find the tables in the tab “Fusion”. For more detailed rules, go to our website at:

  • Cash games: Two limits are offered for .FR players only: NL €0.02/€0.05 6-max and NL €0.01/€0.02 6-max. They are displayed in the lobby with the mention 'Réservé aux joueurs .FR' in the 'Type' column. You can see them easily if you sort the tables by type, so they will be displayed at top of the list. To do that, just click on the column title 'Type'.
  • Tournaments: A few low buy-in tournaments are only open to .FR players (€1 to €10). Those tournaments are labeled as 'Reserved for .FR players only'. If you only want to see these tournaments, type the keyword '.FR' in the search field.
  • Sit & Go: 6-max Sit & Go’s with buy-ins from €0.5 to €5 labeled with 'Reserved for .FR players only' are available. They can also be found by searching for .FR in the Sit & Go search field.
  • Spin & Go: The €1 buy-in Spin & Go's are available to players with non-authenticated accounts.

Once your account is fully verified, you'll be able to access all the shared tables, make withdrawals and use our Home Games.
